I am on a road trip. I love road trips! The perfect blending of machine, food and music are always the key components.

Mount Vernon (yes, these are same woods that George Washington rode over on a daily basis), Arlington National Cemetery, the US Marine Monument (Iwo Jima), Roosevelt Island (Teddy - not FDR) and Great Falls Park (800 acres of sublime nature only 15 miles from DC) are just a few Still driving? Make sure to see the Lady Bird Johnson Park honoring the former First Lady and her commitment to keeping America beautiful. Meander into Maryland for a bit for a visit to Glen Echo home of Red Cross founder – Clara Barton, and remnants of the C&O canal.
